SDI Open Water Diver Course

To enroll in the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course, you must;

  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Read and Sign the Assumption of Risk and Liability Release form.
  • Fill out the Medical Declaration Form.
  • Be able to swim and treat water comfortably.

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course consists of 3 main phases:

  1. Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
  2. Confined Water Divers to learn basic scuba skill.
  3. Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore.

09:15      Classroom – Diving Theory Module 1 – 5

07:45      Meeting point at Jesselton Point jetty
08:30      Proceed 10 minutes boat transfer to Dive Base at TARP Island

  • In the case of schedule changes or cancellation due to traffic, weather or other force major, SEAMAUI BORNEO have the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation reserved should conditions beyond our control render it necessary.​
  • Kindly ready your best selfie picture without glasses for registration.
  • Patients of following diseases are NOT recommended to participate the Diving adventure: hypertension, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, pregnant woman.
  • Alcohol consumption during your dive or trip is NOT RECOMMENDED.
  • Participants are refrain from touching and teasing turtles, marine life and corals reef. Anyone refraining will sit out the next diving or snorkeling.
  • While the jellyfish season varies, it usually occurs during mid of the year or/and end of the year. Do be extra careful and inform our guides should you be stung. Jelly bugs are common in the waters but they are usually harmless and their stings will just cause some slight itch.
